Overview

The Goal

The challenge

Revise and redesign the application's usability logic. New design elements were meant to simplify and enhance user experience. The improvements were aimed to optimize the application's functionality and promote better engagement for users.
Keep the visual style of the application that was created previously. Therefore, the design elements such as color palette, typography, and iconography should be kept consistent and in alignment with the overall visual language of the application.

Begining

First of all, I familiarized myself with the application design in Sketch and the brand book. Since it was necessary to maintain the given style, I needed to define its boundaries.

Mobile App

The project involved enhancing the mobile app design, creating the dashboard for managing the project, and incorporating a personal user account to the website.
The first priority was to improve the user onboarding process, which includes verifying the account and driver's license. Adding payment methods and a referral system, as well as all necessary account functions.

Onboarding flow

Next, it was necessary to update userflow of adding a new vehicle to the app and work on all parameters that user can indicate in car description.

For this flow, new screens with useful information and special UI for photographing cars were added. As a result, the overall number of screens increased, but the process became smoother, more understandable and user-friendly
The updated flow now includes several stages of seamless interaction between the car owner and the user. After user makes a car selection, he can proceed to book the car online.
Next, the car owner receives the booking request and confirms the availability of the vehicle. Once the booking is confirmed, the user receives a notification with the details of the rental period and any additional information they might need. This updated process has made car rental smoother, hassle-free, and more convenient for all parties involved.

Website

Next, it was necessary to develop the design of the user's personal account. In the personal account, the user can register, manage their profile, pass all verifications, put a car for rent or rent an available car.
Since the personal account largely duplicated the functionality of the application itself, the need for creating wireframes or prototypes disappeared.
Therefore, after defining the information architecture, I immediately started designing the pages.
Since the personal account largely duplicated the functionality of the application itself, the need for creating wireframes or prototypes disappeared.

Dashboard

Additionally, the dashboard was designed to include features that would make managing the product significantly easier for the administrators. The dashboard provided a user-friendly interface that allowed the administrators to view a comprehensive user data and trip statistics. The validation feature in the control panel ensured that only legitimate users could access the product. Admins could also view each user's history and track their activity, making it easier to resolve any disputes that might arise.

Icons

For the project, new and improved icons have been created that blend beautifully with the overall style.
